OUR STORY
Unframed is a youth-led platform dedicated to uplifting young creatives in Monmouth County, New Jersey. Our mission is to provide student artists with opportunities to showcase their work through local exhibitions while collaborating with professional artists and community organizations. By creating real-world platforms for young talent, we help emerging artists develop their skills, build confidence, and gain visibility for their work.
What began as a digital zine quickly evolved into something more. We recognized the importance of networking and in-person connections for beginner artists, and Unframed evolved into a series of local showcases, starting with our inaugural exhibition at the Long Branch Arts & Cultural Center. Today, the student-led team behind Unframed hosts mentorship nights, organizes community events, and partners with local schools to support the next generation of artists.

MEET THE FOUNDER
“I founded Unframed to allow young artists to feel supported, seen, and valued in the arts. As a student filmmaker and theater director, I understood the power of having your work showcased and recognized at an early age, and I wanted to create that same sense of validation for other artists in my community. I believe it is just as important for young creatives to enjoy making their art as it is for them to be taken seriously and learn how to connect and network with others. I hope Unframed continues to make a lasting impact locally by bringing us together and inspiring young artists to pursue their talents.”
